Prison Break
the sermon was on 'prison break' - how God is able to give us freedom, and release us from situation that binds us down. Eg. alcohol addiction (internet addiction?), depression, illness that won't go away...to me, exam is a 'fixed' sentence of a fixed length. for i know that i'll get out on 28th June (if i don't fail).
i guess a 'fixed' sentence is quite easily dealt with. you know for sure that you'll get out. there's no way that i can have a shorter sentence. just accept it!
whats most debilitating and discouraging is when you don't see the end of it. its a life sentence that you don't deserve, perhaps? how would YOU stay faithful during that?
there's no immediate release. it's character building as you persevere... with God along ur side, believe in a miracle.
everyone has a life sentence of some sort. break free, guys... don't be comfortable where you are. a better world is out there...
