i don't have it all together.
This phrase has been in my head for the last week. I might seem like I have a happy, fulfilled, enviable life - you know, with a boyfriend, family, stable job and church life. I don't have it altogether. Many things I can't talk about here but I just want to write down the fact that I wish my life could be different in many ways.
Therefore I ask God to help me. I believe He is the only one who can make a difference. I've been trying to neutralise my negative thoughts with positive ones. Perhaps I should start by listing things that I am blessed with:
* Albert, he really is one of the best things that happened for the last 4 years. I thank God for that. I don't believe that there is only one guy perfect for me but I know he appears at the right time and I would like to see us two make it to the end of time.
* Job, who wouldn't be happy being a doctor? haha, actually I know some doctors would prefer doing something else. My job is there to provide the security that I need and I thank God that with the little intelligence I have, I made it into Medicine.
* Grandma, she's still alive and healthy. She loves me very much.
* Parents, sister, I thank God for a very healthy childhood. I can't help but be thankful when I see the domestic violence/ abuse that happens in our community.
* I have a healthy body. I hear stories of cancer, car accidents, paraplegia, quadraplegia... OH LORD, I thank you for the body that I have.
* Church, I can't say the deepest friendships were found in church but I can say that without those friendships, I wouldn't be as faithful today. God - of course, I need to thank You for choosing me.
I have so many blessings in life. I feel better typing this already. That's not to say I have it all together. Do you see the darkness and brokeness in my life? God, I trust you to make things right in the end.
